The Invitrogen E-Gel Opener G5300-01 is a new, turnkey, fully functional device designed to efficiently open E-Gel cassettes. This tool allows for the purification of DNA fragments from the gel, transfer of samples onto a membrane for Southern blot analysis, or post-staining of Clear E-Gels. The E-Gel Opener uses two steel blades to quickly and safely pop open the E-Gel cassette without harming the gel. It is user-friendly and made of durable anodized aluminum. Typical applications include DNA purification, Southern blot analysis, and post-staining of gels. The E-Gel Opener is an essential tool for molecular biology and genetic research laboratories. Software not included.
