The Invitrogen E-Gel Opener G5300-01 is a new other (see details) TK (Turnkey) condition product designed for efficiently opening E-Gel cassettes. It is a simple and safe device used to purify DNA fragments from the gel, transfer samples onto a membrane for Southern blot analysis, or post-stain Clear E-Gels. The E-Gel Opener uses two steel blades to quickly pop open the E-Gel cassette without harming the gel. It is made of anodized aluminum for maximum durability. Software not included. Typical applications include DNA fragment purification, Southern blot analysis, and Clear E-Gel post-staining. Its safe and easy-to-use design makes it a valuable tool in a molecular biology laboratory.
