The Invitrogen E-Gel Opener G5300-01 is a new other (see details) turnkey laboratory accessory designed to quickly and efficiently open an E-Gel cassette. This safe and easy-to-use device allows for the purification of DNA fragments from the gel, transfer of samples onto a membrane for Southern blot analysis, and post-staining of Clear E-Gels. For maximum durability, the E-Gel Opener is made of anodized aluminum. Software not included. Typical applications include DNA fragment purification, Southern blot analysis, and gel post-staining.
