The 9700 thermal cycler consists of a base module and an interchangeable sample block. The heated lid and unique thermal isolation frame ensure oil-free operation in the 0.5l format. The Applied Biosystems 9700 PCR system features an easy-to-use graphic interface with intuitive programming, interchangeable blocks for flexible use, and fast, uniform thermal response. Passed cycle performance and cool and heat rate tests. The system stores up to 100 complete PCR methods and allows for modification of complete PCR methods from a user's method names. The internal calibration ranges from 4°C to 99.9°C, and user diagnostics control all system software operations with five programs.
