The EXFO X-Cite 120 Fluorescence Illumination System gives you high quality excitation light without heat transference to your specimen. This fluorescence illumination system uses a pre aligned metal halide which gives an exceptionally bright illumination, high efficiency and power. Easy to set up and use, the EXFO X-Cite 120 has straightforward controls, and snap in lamp replacement. The EXFO X-Cite 120 Fluorescence Illumination System has a powerful 120W lamp that gives your field of view a rich, uniform high excitation intensity and for applications where photobleaching might be a concern, there is an adjustable iris. The lamps used have up to 10 times the life span of conventional lamps, and are rated for up to 2000 hours compared to the usual 300. The enclosure of this EXFO X-Cite 120 Fluorescence Illumination System has been designed to eliminate light leakage, with safeguards in place to protect against accidental exposure. Additionally, this fluorescence illumination system protects from power surges and RF interference, and utilizes a quick-strike arc eliminating ozone production. To guard against life-shortening restrikes, the lamp uses the Intelli-Lamp system to monitor the temperature, allowing it to cool until it's safe to restart, keeping the life of the lamp long.
