It offers sample tracking functionality from an integrated barcode, generates 6080 million reads with rapid run time, and supports a variety of research applications. This kit is only compatible with the Ion S5 and Ion S5 XL systems and is the perfect solution for sequencing human exomes, transcriptome profiling, and targeted resequencing of gene panels. Compatibility with current library preparation methods and an expiration date of 9-30-2018 add to its appeal. Use this kit with the Ion 540 Kit-Chef and the Ion 540 Kit-OT2.
