The optical module houses the excitation and detection system, and the system features a fan-cooled 50 watt tungsten halogen lamp, a 6-position filter wheel, dual mirror arrangement, and a 5.7" 1/4 VGA display. It supports a 96-well format and offers a Gradient range of 40 - 100°C, max gradient span of 25°C, heating rate of 3.0°C/sec, and cooling rate of 2.0°C/sec.
