The 3M Zeta Plus EXT SP Scale-Up 170cm Capsule Filter extends depth filtration capacity and enhances downstream membrane protection, lowering overall filtration costs. This advanced dual-zone depth filter is adept at providing optimal clarification of bioprocess, biological, and pharmaceutical fluids. It features two distinct zones of filter media, with the upstream zone more open than the downstream zone, leading to enhanced contaminant holding capacity and extended service life. The filter is capable of increased throughput with better turbidimetric efficiency and protects downstream membrane filters. Typical applications include clarification of mammalian cell culture process fluids, protection of downstream processes with membrane filters, TFF systems, and chromatography columns, and clarification of bacteria and yeast cell lysates. The Zeta Plus EXT SP filter is also suitable for endotoxin and nucleic acid removal, as well as the clarification of colloidal and haze forming contaminants.
