As a quirky, intelligent laboratory scientist, allow me to introduce the Edwards RV3 Vacuum Pump - a unique dual mode pump that allows you to configure for high gas loads without compromising vacuum. This pump is a versatile workhorse used for centrifugal concentrators, rotary evaporators, freeze dryers, gel dryers, vacuum ovens, or general-purpose requirements. It operates at a quiet 48dBA and requires no special tools for service. The fast-acting inlet valve prevents oil and gas suckback in the event of power or oil pressure loss. The pump delivers high vacuum or high throughput, and comes with NW25 inlet/outlet connections. Its easily selectable modes include the High Vacuum mode which provides an ultimate vacuum down to 1.5 x 10-3torr with no gas ballast, and the High Throughput mode which sustains long-term high inlet pressures with ultimate vacuum as low as 2.3 x 10-2torr without gas ballast. The gas ballast control maximizes vapor handling capability, and the pump also features gas ballast delivered into the pump to prevent condensation of vapor carried by pumped gases. The versatile pump has three user-selectable gas ballast positions '0' Closed, 'I' Low Flow, 'II' High Flow, meeting most vapor handling requirements.
