The Olympus IX51 Inverted Fluorescence Microscope IX2-ILL100 is designed for advanced fluorescence techniques and is known for its excellent optical performance. It provides a very stable, compact platform ready to accept a wide range of accessories and applications, making it suitable for cell culture and live cell imaging. The microscope is ergonomically designed with a slim and compact frame, enabling easy operation and saving bench space. It features a side camera port accepting a wide range of CCD cameras, and improved throughput for fluorescence observations. The IX51 also offers an excellent working distance condenser that accommodates roller bottles, pre-centered phase contrast slider requiring no adjustment, and new optics delivering better-than-ever image contrast. The technology in the fluorescence mirror units is designed to reduce stray light and image flare, ensuring maximum system flexibility and improved filter performance with high efficiency coatings designed for low background and minimal crossover. With a unique aluminum alloy cast frame material, excellent rigidity and thermal expansion performance are achieved, complemented with features such as a low stage, optional glass stage insert plate, objective color-band labels, and various observation tubes to suit a wide range of users.
