The 96-well filter plates are used for separating large molecules from small molecules, removing unincorporated labels following protein modification reactions, and concentrating protein peaks following gel-permeation chromatography. The equipment has a molecular weight cut-off of 30KDa and a concentration capability for proteins in tissue culture media, antiserum, monoclonal antibody preparations, and after eluting protein from chromatography columns.
