The BIO-RAD iCycler Thermal Cycler is a high-performance PCR detection system, offering a balanced mix of power and flexibility for multiple applications. The system enables extremely reproducible quantitation for up to 5 targets simultaneously and demonstrates outstanding uniformity over a broad range of sample concentrations. It features a large 5.7' VGA screen, user-specific profiles, and an upgrade path to convert the thermal cycler into a real-time PCR system. The iCycler Optical Module houses the excitation and detection systems, providing illumination for the 96-well plate. The excitation system includes a 50 watt tungsten halogen lamp, optical filters, and a dual mirror arrangement for simultaneous sample plate illumination.
