Matrix PlateMate 2x2 is a small but versatile automated pipetting workstation configurable with any of eight interchangeable air-displacement or positive displacement pipetting heads. Designed to minimize laboratory bench space, this compact instrument offers many features previously available only on larger instruments, offering a cost-effective solution for a variety of medium and low throughput liquid handling applications. Automated liquid handling also removes variability between runs byproviding repeatable dispensing. Automated liquid handling platforms can be used toefficiently automate protein assays. Benefits: Four interchangeable air-displacement and four interchangeable positive displacement pipetting heads available for flexibility of channels, volume ranges and applications, as well as ease of service. Four-position/flexible deck configuration accommodates microplates, reservoirs, wash stations, vacuum manifolds and other accessories High resolution X-Y plate positioning (0.06mm) ensures reliable tip access into 96, 384, 864 and 1536 well plates. Two peristaltic pumps support onboard active reagent replenishment and pipet tip washing. Non-contact liquid level sensors trigger automatic replenishment of reagent reservoirs. Choice of open work area or safety enclosure provides robotic access in automated environments, or complete operator safety for standalone usage. Compact footprint enables use in standard hoods for cellular assays and other sterile pipetting protocols. Bar code reading capability allows automatic tracking of microplates as they are moved on and off the work deck.
