MJ Research DNA Engine Opticon 2 CFD-3220 Continuous Fluorescence Detector is a compact real-time PCR detection system designed by a team of molecular biologists and engineers. It offers superior thermal accuracy, well-to-well thermal uniformity, and oil-free cycling with a 96-well sample block. The long-lived LEDs excite fluorescent dyes, and the sensitive optics detect fluorophores with emission spectra in the 470-700 nm range. Intuitive Opticon Monitor software facilitates experimental setup, run initiation, monitoring, and data analysis. The system includes dual modes of temperature control and has a compact footprint making it suitable for any lab bench. The system is available separately or as an upgrade for existing DNA Engine thermal cyclers.
