Product Information

The Waters 2487 is the most sensitive and versatile absorbance detector for HPLC. Designed to provide the highest performance in UV/Vis detection, the 2487 detector offers the superior sensitivity required for detection of minor impurities, with the linear dynamic range to simultaneously quantitate major and minor components for both routine and complex applications. In addition to its impressive sensitivity, the system includes stand-alone programmability, stores up to 10 user-defined programs each consisting of up to 16 programmable timed events and 2 threshold events, and is capable of single or dual wavelength absorbance monitoring. This detector also features a wavelength verification reference to ensure accuracy, an automatic second order filter for precise wavelength measurements, and spectrum scan and storage to support spectrum scan, display, subtraction, storage, and playback. Furthermore, the cuvette qualification capability of the 2487 detector facilitates the qualification of the detector without breaking any fluidic connections. This feature also allows you to use the detector as a benchtop spectrophotometer and record the spectrum of any sample placed in the cuvette. Other notable features include method editing and storage, full diagnostic capability to optimize functionality and performance, power cord included, and operating voltage at 120V. This equipment finds practical applications in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, and food and beverage industries.
