The XCell SureLock Mini-Cells by Invitrogen are a game-changer in running mini-gels in the laboratory. With a unique design, it allows for quick, easy, and leak-free running without clamps. This durable unit's setup takes only 30 seconds: drop the Buffer Core and the Gel Tension Wedge into the Lower Buffer Chamber, insert the gels, and pull the Gel Tension Wedge forward. Tough polycarbonate construction boosts durability. This unit has a capacity of up to 2 mini gels, compatible with various Invitrogen precast mini gels, SureCast handset gels, and Invitrogen empty mini gel cassettes. The electrode wire made of platinum allows for 1,500 VDC or 75 Watts electrode limits. Chemical resistance makes it impervious to most alcohols, albeit not compatible with certain hydrocarbons such as chloroform, toluene, benzene, or acetone.
