The Life Technologies 4466601 E-Gel Imager is a compact, affordable, easy-to-use imaging system designed specifically for stained gels and WesternDot 625 probestained western blots. The high-resolution digital camera is able to image gels incorporating fluorescent stains such as ethidium bromide and Invitrogen SYBR stains, as well as colorimetric stains like Invitrogen Coomassie and silver stains. The system can also be used to image western blots detected with the WesternDot 625 detection kit reagents, eliminating the need for film processing. This unit is in used condition, and while base and additional accessories are not included, it is compatible with various bases and has a multitude of applications in molecular biology, biochemistry, and related fields.
