The Invitrogen E-gel iBase Power System with Safe Imager Real Time Transilluminator combines the power of electrophoresis with real-time monitoring of DNA migration, using blue light that minimizes DNA damage and ensures enhanced safety. It is designed to run E-Gel single comb, double-comb, Clone Well EX, and Size Select cassettes. The E-Gel iBase Power System offers program selection options, time control, reverse mode running, and a high power capability. The E-Gel Safe Imager Real Time Transilluminator enables enhanced cloning efficiency and safety for the user, and can be purchased as a stand-alone item or as part of a Starter Kit. This integrated system is compatible with all low throughput E-Gels, and offers an improved cloning efficiency over ethidium bromide and UV, making it ideal for running SYBR Safe stained E-Gel agarose gels. It also features electrical requirements of 100-240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, with a temperature range of 5°C to 40°C, and an LCD display with an alarm LED light. The USB port enables future program updates.
