Product Information

The ABI prism 7900HT is a sequence detection system instrument designed for automated, high-throughput detection of fluorescent PCR-related chemistries. It supports real-time PCR applications for gene expression, SNP genotyping, and viral load analysis. The 7900HT system extends high-throughput performance beyond sample analysis by streamlining operation and makes results easy to interpret. It is also useful for miRNA qualification and pathogen detection. This instrument has a block format that is interchangeable, a capacity of up to 36 x 96-well plates, or up to 84 x 384-well plates, and supports various detection methods including Primer-Probe Detection and SYBR. The 7900HT system has a dynamic range of up to 9 logs of linear dynamic range, high throughput compatibility, and multiplexing capabilities. Its sensitivity extends down to 10 copies, with a temperature accuracy of 0.25C of the display temperature, and a temperature range of 4-100C. The thermal cycling system is Peltier-Based, and it features an extended-life 488 nm argon-ion laser excitation source. With the ability to detect over a wide range without filters, this instrument offers a plethora of specialized functions, ideal for use in research and diagnostic laboratories.
