Product Information
The Gilson Detector is a rugged, economical, fixed-wavelength detector for analytical or preparative HPLC. The fixed wavelength, filter-based UV detector provides data wavelengths. Applications include biological samples, industrial chemicals, and small-molecule analysis via HPLC. It allows detection of a wide range of compounds that absorb in the UV range for analysis at microbore, analytical, semi-prep, and preparative flows. This versatile detector minimizes downtime during wavelength changeover or lamp replacement. Its fixed-wavelength design provides increased sensitivity and durability. The event-marking function allows convenient marking of the point of injection or advance of a fraction collector on the recorder or data system. The pathlength analytical flow cell offers excellent sensitivity ranging from 0.0011 AUFS (Absorbance Units, Full Scale). The dual-beam optics ensure equal illumination of both the sample cell and the reference aperture to maintain baseline stability at high sensitivity. It also features easy-to-change lamp and filter assemblies for selecting wavelengths and an easy, one-step baseline function to help reduce operating and setup time.
