The flat, parallel, removable quartz windows avoid nonlinear response common with cells made of round tubing. This Optical Unit's type 11 features preparative cells available with 1, 2, or 5 mm pathlengths, making it ideal for low pressure aqueous LC. Additionally, stainless steel cells provide added temperature stability for reduced thermal drift. This unit is specifically recommended for Flash Chromatography. The high flow rate cell with 5 mm pathlength is excellent for large-scale production LC and similar applications. Finally, density gradient cells adapt the UA-6 to centrifuge tube fractionators that use a dense fluid to displace the gradient upward through the cell, including a gasket set for most common centrifuge tubes.
