The new Countess II FL Automated Cell Counter is a benchtop assay platform equipped with state-of-the-art optics, full autofocus, and image analysis software for rapid assessment of cells in suspension. With three-channel flexibilitybrightfield and two optional fluorescence channelsresearchers can count cells, monitor fluorescent protein expression, evaluate apoptosis, and measure cell viability. The system is capable of analyzing one 2-chamber disposable or 2-chamber reusable slide at a time. The Countess II FL features a 7" capacitive touch screen, an input voltage range of 100-240 VAC, and instrument memory through a USB stick. Although the current condition of the equipment is listed as 'For parts or not working', it provides a great opportunity for labs to obtain a high-quality cell counter at a reduced price.
