The Applied Biosystems ABI PRISM 7000 Sequence Detection System is a real-time PCR instrument used to determine the absolute quantity of a target nucleic acid sequence in a test sample by analyzing the cycle-to-cycle change in fluorescence signal during PCR. Smaller and more cost-effective than many other instruments, the 7000 SDS detects accumulated PCR product cycle-by-cycle, enabling quantitative results immediately after completion of PCR, without the need for further processing or analysis. Its applications include gene expression analysis, genotyping, pathogen detection, and microRNA analysis. We can also quantitate results for relative gene expression, Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNP) genotyping, and detect pathogen-derived nucleic acids.
