Description
The San Diego Instruments Gemini II Avoidance System, a prominent testing platform, is utilized in both active and passive avoidance tests on rats and mice. The versatility of this model includes Shock or Shock and Airstim configurations. Conversion between rat and mouse testing can be completed in under five minutes, allowing flexibility in experimental paradigms with features such as non-heating LED house lights, laboratory-grade cue lights, user-selectable auditory stimuli, infrared photobeams, and an auto door. The system supports up to 8 stations for efficiency in large group testing. Paradigms facilitated include Passive Avoidance (Classic, Trials to Criterion, Continuous), Active Avoidance (Trials to Criterion, Continuous), and Learned Helplessness. Note: Although this equipment powers on, the connection port is damaged, and the power button requires replacement. Sold AS-IS.
