The Molecular Devices SpectraMax M2 is a multi-mode microplate reader with versatile application in laboratories worldwide. This robust reader is equipped to carry out UV and visible absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence, fluorescence polarization, TRF and HTRF measurements. With features including a cuvette port, spectral scanning in 1 nm increments, and up to six wavelengths per read, it is designed for consistent and reliable performance. The bottom-read fluorescence functionality makes it ideal for cell-based assays. With multi-detection capability, dual-mode cuvette port, dual monochromators, and instrument and software validation, it offers flexibility and accuracy. The SpectraMax M2 and M2e provide ultrafast and full spectral range detection for a variety of microplates, making them suitable for various applications such as DNA/RNA/protein quantitation, ELISAs/enzyme kinetics, drug dissolution profiles, live/dead viability assays, and low volume applications. Its optical design provides unmatched sensitivity, accuracy, and speed, allowing for fast setup of assays, and optimized results. The microplate reader uses patented PathCheck technology that transforms each well in a microplate into a fixed optical pathlength cuvette. The technology eliminates standard curves and allows for the calculation of concentrations directly from absorbance with a known extinction coefficient, simplifying quantitation of nucleic acid and protein. The unit was tested and is preowned, with minimal wear, and comes with a 30-day warranty.
