The Molecular Devices SpectraMax Plus 384 is a UV-visible absorbance microplate reader designed to deliver fast and accurate results for a wide range of applications. Preowned with minimal wear, it powers on successfully and runs basic tests. The instrument supports cuvettes, 96-well, and 384-well microplates with ultrafast spectral range detection, essential for assays such as DNA quantitation, colorimetric assays, ELISAs, and enzyme kinetics. Its patented PathCheck Pathlength Measurement Technology enables temperature-independent pathlength correction, enhancing data reliability. The multichannel optical design mirrors a dual-beam spectrophotometer, ensuring precision and speed. The device reads 96-well plates in 5 seconds and 384-well plates in 16 seconds, with a spectral range of 190-1000 nm tunable in 1 nm increments, suitable for both endpoint measurements and kinetic assays.
