The SciGene Hybex Microsample Incubator is a compact, high precision tube and plate heating system with a heated lid. It has been tested to specifications and is in near new condition with very little use. This versatile system can be used for sample preparation in next-generation sequencing (NGS) instruments, such as Illumina. It regulates sample temperatures to within 0.1°C, minimizes cap condensation with a heated lid, and provides removable blocks for 0.2 PCR, 0.6 and 1.5 mL tubes, and flat-bottomed plates. The temperature range is ambient +5.0°C to 99.0°C, with a relative humidity of 15 to 80% RH non-condensing. The unit includes a digital PID controller with a four-line LED display and a T-type thermocouple for calibration output. Practical applications include sample prep for genetic analysis, PCR, and sample storage in research and clinical laboratories.
