The Timberline Instruments TL2500 Mobile Phase Heater is designed for enhancing the performance of HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) systems by heating the mobile phase prior to entry into a semi-preparative or preparative column. Operating at elevated temperatures, the Timberline heater decreases mobile phase viscosity, thereby improving column efficiency and retention time reproducibility. Custom fabricated to suit specific flow rates and temperature needs, the TL2500 accommodates flow rates exceeding 100 mL/min and temperatures up to 90C. Ensuring stable temperature control, the device employs coils cast in a metal alloy block for excellent heat transfer. The control electronics, housed separately from the heating unit, safeguard against overheating, ensuring laboratory and column safety. This used unit is in good condition, has undergone basic tests, but not fully verified for functionality due to limitations.
