The Merck KGaA Progard Pretreatment Cartridge PR0G000T3 is a new, unopened box of equipment designed to protect reverse osmosis (RO) membranes from hard water components. The ProgardT3 Pretreatment Pack removes large particles, organic compounds, and free chlorine from tap water, safeguarding the RO membrane against mineral scaling, organic fouling, and chlorine oxidation. This pack ensures optimal system lifetime and performance, requires replacement of consumables when requested, and is suitable for use with Milli-QDirect water purification systems. Constructed from polypropylene and EPDM, it is suitable for tap water feed with SDI < 5, Cl2< 1 ppm. The natural activated carbon media has a high surface area and adsorption kinetic, tolerating feed water containing up to 1 ppm of chlorine. The depth filter media has a high capacity and optimized retention, tolerating feed water with SDI up to 5. It incorporates polyphosphate to avoid scaling without releasing ions and offers 100% traceability with an e-Sure Tag. The RFID technology ensures instant visibility on pack parameters and safe, optimal performance, giving full traceability.
