The San Diego Instruments Gemini II Avoidance System W/ Shockstim (PCI) Rodent Tester is designed for active and passive avoidance testing in both rats and mice. It is available in two configurations: Shock or Shock and Airstim, providing flexibility in test paradigms. Conversion from rats to mice is possible in less than five minutes. The system utilizes non-heating LED house lights, laboratory standard cue lights, user selectable auditory stimuli, infrared photobeams and a quiet auto door. It can be configured with up to 8 stations for testing large subject groups, with each station starting and running independently, making continuous testing quick and easy. The system supports various avoidance paradigms including Passive Avoidance, Active Avoidance, and Learned Helplessness. This item is being sold AS-IS due to a broken connection port at the back and a power button that needs replacement. It powers on and will be tested by our in-house service technician prior to shipping. Recommended applications include behavioral experiments and neuroscience research.
