Product Information
The Bio-Rad Universal Hood ChemiDoc Gel Documentation System is a high-performance, easy-to-use unit for capturing fluorescence and chemiluminescence images without using a photographic darkroom. The unit is designed to operate with a CCD camera to capture images in real time, allowing for accurate positioning and focusing. The system includes Bio-Rad TDS Quantity One software for image optimization, annotation, analysis, and printing. It also features a built-in UV transilluminator with a 302-nm UV wavelength to excite most fluorescent dyes used in gel imaging applications. The system includes a CCD camera, a darkroom cabinet with white light Epi-illumination and auto shut-off features, as well as a thermal printer. The Gel Doc 2000, ChemiDoc, and the ChemiDoc XRS utilize a Universal Hood with UV and Epi-white light sources and a CCD camera for image capture. The system features a maximum sample size of 28 x 36 cm and a maximum image area of 25 x 26 cm. This unit is in Very Good (VG) condition and comes with a 30-day warranty. It is suitable for applications in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, and cell biology research.
