The Thermo Scientific Dionex ICS-Series VWD Variable Wavelength Detector (VWD) is a high-quality instrument designed for IC analysis applications requiring a UV-Vis detector and for LC analysis applications requiring an inert (PEEK) flow path. It can be used with various Thermo Scientific Dionex systems. The VWD uses a dual-beam, variable-wavelength photometer with two light sources, a deuterium lamp for ultraviolet detection and a tungsten lamp for visible and near-infrared wavelength detection, providing a wavelength detection range from 190 to 900 nm. It is controlled with a PC running specific Thermo Scientific Dionex Chrome Leon Chromatography Data Systems. The VWD is designed for routine analysis as well as for sophisticated research tasks.
