The PerSeptive Biosystems CytoFluor Series 4000 is a highly advanced fluorescence/bioluminescence reader used in life science research. With a temperature control range from 5C to 20C in 0.2C increments, and up to 45C, it is ideal for studying soluble and cell-associated fluorescence. The device employs a photo multiplier tube placed in a lightproof detection chamber to measure EM wavelength in the range of 390 - 800 nm and EX wavelength in the range of 320 - 700 nm. It is capable of reconfiguring optics to read the top or bottom of a plate and allows the measurement of solution and cell-based assays. The specified mix time ranges from 1 - 99 seconds.
