Product Information

Are you ready to separate simple sugars without compromising resolution? We have a ready-to-use, excellent condition Dionex Carbo Pac PA20 IC Columns from Thermo Scientific. These strong anion-exchange columns, when combined with pulsed amperometry detection (PAD), provide high-resolution separations at high pH with no need for derivatization. For example, they can achieve baseline resolution between the six monosaccharides commonly found in mammalian glycoproteins over a wide range of eluent concentrations. In addition, they are highly efficient for separating mono- and disaccharides, with good resolution between neighboring peaks, fast analysis times of less than 10 minutes, and lower eluent consumption. These columns are also optimized for resolution of peak pairs like glucosamine/galactose and glucose/mannose. They are slightly different from the Dionex Carbo Pac PA1 or PA10 Columns and are excellent for separating difficult peak pairs. Dionex Carbo Pac PA20 Columns consist of 6.5m diameter nonporous beads covered with a fine latex of functionalized Thermo Scientific Dionex Micro Bead resin. Their pellicular resin structure permits excellent mass transfer, resulting in high-resolution chromatography and rapid re-equilibration.
