The Kendro Sorvall RC-5B Plus Floor Centrifuge, manufactured in 1999, is a reliable and high-speed centrifuge designed for simplicity and durability. Tested to specifications, it can operate at speeds up to 21,000 RPM with a large capacity of 4 x 1,000 mL. The unit's refrigeration system effectively maintains precise temperatures between -20°C and +40°C without the need for a vacuum. Although it presents some signs of wear and has a missing back panel, this used centrifuge's direct drive motors and imbalance tolerant gyro drive system ensure reduced maintenance and noise. The centrifuge is ideal for laboratories requiring high-volume processing and offers flexibility with various rotor types. Note, rotor is not included.
