Description
The Sorvall RC-5B Refrigerated Superspeed Centrifuge is a reliable high-speed, floor model centrifuge designed for demanding laboratory and clinical applications. This used unit, manufactured by Sorvall, features a robust universal direct drive motor system delivering quiet operation with reduced vibration for long-term use. It operates at speeds up to 21,000 RPM, with a temperature range from -20°C to +40°C, providing precise control for various centrifugation needs. The centrifuge has undergone testing and can reach the maximal set temperature and RPM despite minor cosmetic defects including surface marks on the lower front panel and right side. Note the door switch is missing and the braking system may require attention. The centrifuge features analog temperature and speed gauges, a rotor speed dial, and a wide rotor compatibility range (fixed angle, swinging bucket, etc.). Power cord is included, though the rotor is not provided. Ideal for laboratories requiring high-efficiency sample processing.

Centrifuge is preowned with scratches, scuffs, and surface marks are present along the lower front panel and right side. Unit was tested to specifications & able to reach max. set point temperature & spin at set RPM. Has missing door switch and brakes are not working properly. (Rotor not included.)
