Product Information

The Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Fusion Lumos Tribrid mass spectrometer is a high-performance mass spectrometer capable of excelling in challenging applications such as low level PTM analysis, multiplexed relative quantitation, and intact protein characterization. This system incorporates various innovations such as the brightest ion source, a segmented quadrupole mass filter, Advanced Vacuum Technology, and ETD HD, a higher-capacity ETD fragmentation. The Tribrid architecture includes a quadrupole mass filter, linear ion trap, and an Orbitrap mass analyzer for maximal duty cycle. It is also equipped with an Advanced Peak Determination (APD) algorithm for improved data-dependent experiments. Latest options include the new hardware options UVPD, and 1M. The mass spectrometer is ideal for small molecule analysis, intact protein characterization, and multiplexed relative quantitation.

Key Features

  • Enhanced sensitivity facilitated by a new High Capacity Transfer Tube and Electrodynamic Ion Funnel
  • Advanced Peak Determination (APD) algorithm for improved data-dependent experiments
  • UVPD and 1M hardware options for improved structural elucidation and quantitation of isobaric compounds
Specifications

  • Novel high-sensitivity API interface combines a High Capacity Transfer Tube and an Electrodynamic Ion Funnel for increased ion flux and lower limits of detection
  • Advanced Vacuum Technology improves transmission of high molecular weight ions to the Orbitrap analyzer
  • Novel ETD HD provides significantly increased fragment ion coverage
  • Ultrahigh resolving power up to 500,000 FWHM, with isotopic fidelity up to 240,000 FWHM at m/z 200
  • MS Scan Power from MS1 through MS10 with intelligent ADAPT technology
  • Acquisition rates of up to 20 Hz for both Orbitrap and linear ion trap MSn analyses
  • Applicable techniques include CID, HCD, ETD, and EThcD for detailed structural determination
