Description

Product Information

The Biomerieux Bact/Alert 3D60, model 248009, is a highly efficient and automated microbial detection system, suitable for a variety of laboratory settings. This used system is in very good condition, showing minimal cosmetic damage while functioning optimally. It offers a compact, modular design complemented by easy touch-screen operations and robust data management, making it adaptable for laboratories of varying sizes. The system can accommodate a minimum of 60 vials simultaneously and is capable of performing blood, other sterile body fluids, or Mycobacteria cultures in a single unified system. It detects microbial growth such as bacteria, yeast, and fungi within an 8-12 hour incubation period. The FAN Plus method allows for the neutralization of all classes of antibiotics, a unique capability over manual blood culture methods. Key features include a patented colorimetric detection system, error-reducing vial loading detection, instant visual and audible alarms, and continuous monitoring. Its algorithm also supports rapid detection in low blood volume, pediatric specimens, with no biohazard hood required. The system self-calibrates and controls quality, and uses adsorbent polymeric bead-based culture media for swift microbial growth detection. Computer and software are included, enhancing the unit's functional versatility. Manufactured in the United States, this device is FDA approved.
