Description
The Thermo TSU600A is a Revco Series upright ultra-low temperature (ULT) freezer designed for long-term storage of critical biological samples at temperatures from -50°C to -86°C. With a large capacity of 28.8 cubic feet, this unit can store up to 600 standard 2-inch cryoboxes. Despite cosmetic imperfections, it remains functional but currently only reaches -68°C, indicating minor repair needs. Notable features include high-efficiency insulation, digital interface, USB connectivity, alarm systems, and a rugged construction. This unit is ideal for laboratory biobanking, operating on 115V/60Hz power with a NEMA 5-20P plug configuration. Does not include computer or software.
Technician comment
Freezer was tested for 24 hours, only reached temperature of -68 (see pics). Compressor oil is getting trapped in the low-temperature parts of the refrigeration circuit. Will not reach -80C. Few cosmetic scratches from regular use, nothing that effects its capabilities. Comes with power cord and metal storage for shelves.
