Description
The Fluidigm FC1 Cycler is a versatile laboratory instrument designed for precise thermal cycling of Integrated Fluidic Circuits (IFCs) commonly used in genomics and molecular biology applications. Manufactured in Singapore, the FC1 Cycler is an electrically and pneumatically operated desktop unit featuring a built-in vacuum pump that securely holds IFCs in place. An embedded PC regulates its operations, while a touch panel LCD display offers an intuitive graphic user interface for ease of control. The device employs thermoelectric cooling (TEC) technology to deliver rapid and uniform heating and cooling. Although not fully tested, the unit powers on successfully and completes basic self-tests, displaying no known functionality issues despite minor cosmetic wear. The cycler is compatible with Fluidigm's 96.96, 48.48 Dynamic Array™ IFCs, and 12.765 Digital Array™ IFC, expediting workflows with readers like the Fluidigm EP1™ or BioMark™ Real-time PCR System. Please note that the computer is not included.
