The Analytik Jena qTOWER3G, model 844-00504-2, is a reliable real-time 96-well thermal cycler designed for precision and flexibility in PCR thermal cycling. It features a patented fiber-optic shuttle system consisting of four high-performance LEDs, enabling ideal excitation for fluorescent dyes and ensuring precise and uniform temperature control across its 96-well block. This model provides expanded capabilities with its six-position filter module system compatible with 12 color, FRET, and protein modules, allowing multiplexing for advanced applications. It was previously used in an operational lab environment, and while functionality tests were limited, it powers on and passes basic tests.
