Description
The Molecular Devices Spectramax Gemini XPS microplate reader is engineered for comprehensive fluorescent assay analysis. Featuring dual monochromators, this device permits direct selection in the excitation range of 250-850 nm and emission range of 360-850 nm, eliminating the need for multiple filter sets. Its robust functionality accommodates various assays such as endpoint, kinetic, spectral, and well scans. It includes an integrated temperature-controlled incubator, adjustable from 4°C above ambient to 45°C, enhancing cell-based assay precision. Despite cosmetic wear, the unit powers on successfully and was cleaned with 70% alcohol. Provided without software, the Spectramax Gemini XPS is compatible with SoftMax Pro software for data analysis and automation, supporting up to 384-well plate formats. Ideal for protein quantitation, nucleic acid assays, and reporter gene assays.
Technician comment
Unit powers on and seems to work fine although I am unable to fully test without software and computer but is expected to work as it came from a working environment. Couple minor scratches nothing that effects functionality. Came from working environment. Cleaned with 70% alcohol.
