Description
The ABI 7500 Real-Time PCR system, manufactured in 2005, is instrumental for the detection and quantification of nucleic acids. This versatile machine seamlessly integrates thermal cycling, fluorescence detection, and application-specific software to monitor the real-time amplification of DNA or RNA. Highlighting multiplex capabilities, it can sensitively detect up to five targets simultaneously. Its CCD camera and halogen lamp ensure precise fluorescence analysis, while its algorithm minimizes spectral crosstalk. Although succeeded by newer models post-2025, the 7500 system remains relevant for applications in quantification, gene expression analysis, and public health microbiology. Note: Computer is not included.
Technician comment
PCR machine came from a working lab, powers on although unable to fully test due to lack of computer and software for it. Minor cosmetic damage (scratch on left side see pic). Sterilized with 70% alcohol.
