Description
The Applied Biosystems 7500 Real-Time PCR System, manufactured in 2005, is designed for the precise detection and quantification of nucleic acids, featuring real-time PCR technology. This versatile system supports up to five-target multiplexing and comes equipped with a CCD camera and halogen lamp for excitation with minimized spectral crosstalk. Though cosmetic wear is present, the unit powers on successfully and basic tests pass, suggesting functionality without notable issues. However, full testing is not possible due to the absence of a computer and software. Perfect for gene expression analysis, this system is widely utilized in genetic studies, infectious disease testing, and public health microbiology.
Technician comment
PCR machine came from a working lab, powers on although unable to fully test due to lack of computer and software for it. Minor cosmetic damage (scratch on left side see pic). Sterilized with 70% alcohol.
