The Acros Organics Dowex 50WX8, 100–200 mesh, is a strong acid cation exchange resin well-suited for efficient cation exchange. This high-capacity resin contains sulfonic acid groups and is presented in a fine mesh, making it ideal for analytical separations, deionization, and sample preparation. The physical form of the product consists of moist beads or spheres, with a particle size distribution allowing 15% max on 60 mesh and through 170 mesh. The packaging consists of a plastic bottle containing 2.5 kg of resin characterized by a wet volume capacity in H form of at least 1.7 meq/mL and a water retention capacity of 50 to 58%. The product is insoluble in water and ranges in color from beige to brown. The resin's uniform consistency makes it suitable for rigorous separations, contributing to its high efficiency across various laboratory applications.
