The Amersham Biosciences AKTA Explorer is a versatile chromatography system designed to streamline the development and optimization of biomolecular purification processes. With a maximum flow rate of 100 ml/min at 10 MPa pressure, or 10 ml/min at 25 MPa for high backpressure applications, it adapts to a wide range of purification needs. Multiple wavelength detection (up to 3 wavelengths) and pH monitoring (2-12) enhance its analytical capabilities. The system offers automatic buffer preparation and selection from 11 buffer inlets, making it suitable for rapid media screening and method scouting. This unit is used and in good condition, with minor cosmetic wear consistent with operational use. Noteworthy is the absence of the P-900 Pump, which should be procured separately. Manufactured in the United States and compatible with 120V/220V and 50Hz/60Hz power sources, the AKTA Explorer contributes to accurate and reproducible results in protein purification applications.
