Product Information
The BMG Labtech FLUOstar Omega represents innovation, quality, and reliability in microplate reader instrumentation. With its Tandem Technology, it provides an exceptional platform for various R&D applications, including basic research, life science studies, and assay development. The unit boasts high sensitivity, precision assay capabilities, and a collection of fast, full-spectrum absorbance scans. It monitors rapid kinetic reactions and performs FRET and BRET detection. The multi-mode microplate reader offers versatility, with three detection modes, making it ideal for life science applications. It employs an ultra-fast UV/vis spectrometer and filters for absorbance, as well as highly sensitive filters for other detection modes. The incorporation of a UV/vis spectrometer for absorbance detection into a multi-mode instrument has improved sensitivity, resolution, and efficiency. It can capture a full-absorbance data at a resolution of 1 nm for all wavelengths from 220 to 1000 nm in less than one second per well, or collect up to eight discrete wavelengths concurrently. The spectrometer enables absorbance experiments that were previously not possible, thus opening the door to significant advancements in assay development. The FLUOstar Omega is equipped with multiple user-defined features which enable it to be easily integrated into automated systems. BMG LABTECH is known for being the first plate reader manufacturer to incorporate a UV/vis spectrometer for absorbance detection into multi-detection microplate readers. Its technical specifications include detection modes such as Fluorescence Intensity, Luminescence, and UV/Vis absorbance spectra, as well as top and bottom reading, endpoint and kinetic measurement modes, simultaneous dual emission, and ratiometric measurements. The microplate formats are flexible, ranging from 6 to 384-well plates. The FLUOstar Omega is designed to meet the rigorous demands of academic and pharmaceutical research laboratories, offering a 30-Day Warranty for 100% Parts and Labor.
