Description
The Edwards E2M28 Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump, made in the United States and in very good condition, is a versatile and reliable vacuum pump designed for numerous applications. Known for its excellent vapor handling capabilities and quiet operation at 48 dB(A), this vacuum pump can achieve high vacuum levels down to 1.5 x 10-3 mbar. It is ideal for use in sterilization, mass spectrometry, lasers, vacuum distillation, and more. The pump includes a 2m electrical supply cable, inlet screen, Ultragrade 19 Oil, and a lifting bracket. It features a fast-acting inlet valve to prevent oil and gas suck-back and has NW25 inlet/outlet connections. With adjustable gas ballast control and three user-selectable gas ballast positions, it efficiently handles various vapor requirements.
Technician comment
Pump was tested and achieved a vacuum level of 1 micron. (Minor cosmetic damage on side of pump, chipped paint.) Overall condition is good. Performance is within acceptable range for an Edwards E2M28.
