The Beckman Coulter Allegra X-14R Refrigerated Centrifuge, Model A99465, is a versatile and high-capacity unit designed for a range of centrifugation applications. Manufactured in the United States, it demonstrates minor errors such as the I-6 error code that intermittently occurs upon powering on. Despite this, it retains its potential for high performance with a maximum speed of 4,300 RPM using the swinging-bucket rotor and a 3L maximum capacity. The centrifuge supports various rotors, including the SX4750A smart balancing rotor, which can automatically correct imbalances up to 50g. This unit's biocontainment options and compatibility with multiple application packages make it suitable for blood sample preparation, cell culture, and microplate applications. Maximal operational capacities include 4×750 ml, with a refrigeration system capable of achieving 4°C in less than four minutes. The unit operates on a 120V, 60Hz power supply.
