Description
The BMG LABTECH POLARstar Omega is a versatile, high-speed multi-mode microplate reader designed for comprehensive absorbance and fluorescence polarization applications. Manufactured in Germany, this unit offers six detection modes, including standard fluorescence, time-resolved fluorescence, fluorescence polarization, UV/Vis absorbance, and luminescence. Notable features include a simultaneous dual emission detection system ideal for assays like FRET and TR-FRET, ultra-fast UV/Vis spectrometer, and precise temperature control for optimal assay conditions. It supports plate formats from 6 to 1536 wells and is compatible with robotic systems for high-throughput screening. Though unable to conduct full functional tests, the unit powers on and shows no apparent functional issues despite minor cosmetic wear. Note that the computer and software are not included, and the unit requires software for complete functionality.
