Description
The Thermo Scientific Q Exactive UHMR, manufactured in 2016, is a hybrid quadrupole-Orbitrap mass spectrometer designed for native mass spectrometry (MS) applications. It offers ultra-high mass range resolution and sensitivity, ideal for analyzing large protein complexes and protein-ligand interactions. The unit is in fair condition, with a known minor defect requiring repair. The ion source cone assembly is missing, and no ion source is included. The left side panel has been modified for integration with an HPLC/LC-MS system. This instrument is capable of resolving small mass differences and performing native top-down analysis, making it suitable for characterizing intact native protein assemblies. It is recommended to calibrate and validate the unit before use. The Q Exactive UHMR provides a unique analytical solution with MS2 and pseudo-MS3 capabilities, enhancing the study of protein function, disease mechanisms, and biotherapeutic compounds.

Unit powers on with a solid green power LED. No software was available to perform further testing, so the operational status of the system could not be verified. The left side panel has been modified for integration with an HPLC/LC-MS system. The ion source cone assembly is missing, and no ion source is included. Cosmetic condition shows minor wear from normal laboratory use. Preowned unit from a working laboratory. (Preventive Maintenance due Jan 2026.) Unit should be calibrated and validated prior to laboratory use. Inquire with us on validation/calibration services for an additional cost.
